What is the Water Cut?

Water cutting consists of a jet of water whose diameter measures between 1 and 2 millimeters at a pressure that exceeds 4,000 bars (more than 60,000 PSI) and mixes the jet with an abrasive sand.

The cut is made with a previous cutting program based on a CAD design of the pieces to be obtained. The device is constituted by a kind of covered pool of water that acts as a containment of the jet.

The system allows you to make a rough cut or the most perfect. That will be chosen by the operator taking into account the intended use of the object. In other words, it allows significant work to be done or the details of a piece to be polished.
