1)Raw material.
In its initial stage, the ball appears in the form of a rod or wire. Secondly, quality control makes sure that the material composition is within a good range through metallurgical testing.
2) Header.
After passing the inspection phase, the raw material is then fed through a high speed header. This forms very rough balls.
3)Flashing.
The flashing process cleans up the headed balls so that they are somewhat smoother in appearance.
4)Heat Treatment.
An extremely high temperature process where the flashed balls are placed in an industrial oven. This hardens the ball.
5)Grinding.
In this phase, we grind the sphere of the ball to an approximate diameter of the final sphere size.
6)Lapping.
The lapping of the ball brings it to it's desired final dimension. This is the final forming process to keep the ball within grade tolerance limit.
7)Final Inspection.
Lastly, the quality control department accurately measures and tests the ball to ensure the highest quality.
