What is Airless Spray Painting?

When compared to spraying with compressed air, what is airless spray painting? To put it simply, Airless spray painting just uses material pressure without the air. An electric or pneumatical pump or petrol engine places the material under pressure and forces a defined amount of material at a maximum pressure of 250 bar through a tip bore. This transforms the material into a spray.

How do Airless paint sprayers work?

A pump is used to bring the paint material to a pressure of up to 250 bar and then through an airless spray gun.When the paint valve (gun) is opened, the paint is forced through an opening in the airless tip of the right size relevant to the requirements. Atomization is created through the pressure difference between the coating material and the atmosphere.The flow rate and spray jet width are determined by the tip.
